Join the Skidaway Abigails on Thursday, October 9 at Messiah Lutheran Church (1 West Ridge Road), as the Abigails Advocacy Committee presents an informative panel discussion on the status of groundwater resources in coastal Georgia and on Skidaway Island.
Panelists will include a hydrogeologist from Georgia Southern University, James Reichard, PhD; the Executive Director of the Ogeechee Riverkeeper organization, Damon Mullis; and Sean Burgess, The Landings Association’s Public Works Director and member of the Association’s Strategic Water Committee. Check-in is at 3:15 p.m., with the program beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Learn why groundwater is so important in coastal Georgia, the status of permitting and planning in the area, and what we as landowners can do to support the sustainability of our groundwater resources. There will be a moderated segment with the panelists followed by an open Q&A session with the audience.
The event is open to Abigails and their guests. Registration is required. If you are interested in joining the Skidaway Abigails, please email chair@skidawayabigails.org.
