Please note that a brief synopsis is provided for pertinent incidents that Security responds to during the previous week. All incidents are not covered in the weekly recap. Statistics for incident reports are provided below.

Golf Cart Accident

On Sunday, October 5, Landings Security, Chatham County Fire Department (CCFD), and Chatham Emergency Services (CES) responded to Priest Landing Drive and Monastery Road West for a report of a juvenile falling out of a golf cart. The cart driver said she was on Priest Landing Drive, preparing to turn left onto Monastery Road West. One of the passengers was trying to push her off the cart so he could drive, which caused the cart to swerve. When the driver made the turn onto Monastery Road West, another passenger fell from the cart onto the road. She was treated on scene and transported to a local hospital for further examination. The driver of the cart had a learner’s permit and none of the other passengers had a driver’s license. A $150 citation for unlicensed driving was issued.

Vandalism

On Friday, October 3, Landings Security responded to a residence on Tamarind Lane for a report of vandalism. The resident stated she had been at the Oakridge Clubhouse the previous evening, and on her drive home, her vehicle began to shake. Since it was dark when she got home, she waited until the following morning to inspect the vehicle. While inspecting the vehicle, she observed what appeared to be multiple slashes in her front passenger-side tire. At the time of the report, she declined to notify Chatham County Police Department (CCPD). She stated that she would reach out to The Landings Golf & Athletic Club (LGAC) to obtain video footage from the Oakridge Club.
