Yard Debris Disposal
As many of you arrive back into the community and begin storm cleanup in and around your home, please understand that The Landings Association’s first and primary job is to clear the roadways and to make sure that our storm water system is continuing to operate properly.
In order to ensure that our storm water system continues to be fully operational, any and all yard debris/logs/trees removed from your property MUST NOT be stacked on the roads and/or curbs. Our storm water system cannot handle this type of debris along our roadways and curbs, and that would result in extreme flooding in the event debris is discarded in this manner. Any and all landscaping and tree service contractors caught leaving debris along the curbs and roadways will be subject to severe fines.
Thank you for your assistance and patience as we continue to restore our community.
Food Disposal
Because the power has been off in The Landings for the past few days, the food in your refrigerator and freezer will be spoiled and should not be used.
Please do not dispose of any food in your garbage disposal. Due to the power outage, Utilities, Inc. of Georgia (UIG) must manually pump down all sanitary sewer lift stations. As more residents return to The Landings, the stress on the system is increased until power is restored and will create problems with timely pump down, further exacerbating the issue.
Please double bag the food and discard it with household trash. Secure the trash can lids to prevent raccoons or other animals from ripping the bags open. There is no centralized facility for collecting such food waste.
TLA Phone Lines
Our phone system normally relies on Comcast for our bandwidth. Comcast has an outage in our area that they hope to fix by 9 p.m. tomorrow (October 11).
Therefore, the Association has switched over our services to a secondary provider in the interim. This means that phone calls to the Association are not the best quality. We continue to urge residents to pre-authorize guest online or via the GateAccess app.
