Chatham Emergency Services (CES) has informed The Landings Association that there is a fire on one of the small islands near Butterbean Beach. CES has assessed the fire and notified the United States Coast Guard and the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) of the situation.
There is no threat to The Landings. However, there will be smoke in the area, and some members may see flames if the wind picks up. CES has opted to let the fire burn out due to its isolation.
