Dog vs. Dog Attack
On Monday, October 13, Landings Security responded to Monastery Road for a report of a dog vs. dog attack. The owner of the dog that was attacked stated he had been walking his dog and stopped in front of a residence on Monastery Road for the dog to relieve itself when another dog ran from a yard and began to attack his dog. The other dog then ran back to the residence it came from. Security made contact with the dog’s owner, who stated he had already been contacted by Animal Control about the incident. A follow-up was conducted with the owner of the dog that was attacked and learned that the dog did not suffer any injuries. A citation was issued for the dog being off property without a leash.
Thefts
On Saturday, October 11, a resident on Chatuachee Crossing contacted the Main Gate to report a theft. The resident stated that she received a notification from Amazon around 3:15 p.m. that a package had been delivered. When she went outside to retrieve the package at 4:15 p.m., there was nothing on her porch. Due to the value of the package, the resident did not want to contact Chatham County Police Department (CCPD). It is unknown who took the package.
On Saturday, October 11, a resident on Musgrove Lane contacted the Main Gate to report a theft. The resident stated that she had gotten a notification on her doorbell camera, and upon checking it, she witnessed a woman approach her front door and remove a package from her porch. The resident was not expecting any packages but believed it may have been a t-shirt she had ordered. Due to the value of package, she did not want to contact CCPD. It is unknown who the woman was.
Landings Security has increased patrols for deliveries and has alerted delivery companies to notify Security if they witness anything suspicious or see a vehicle that appears to be following them.
Suspicious Incidents
On Monday, October 13, Security responded to a residence on Cotesworth Place for a report of a suspicious incident. The resident stated that her doorbell camera captured two unknown individuals, a male and female, approaching her front door. They did not knock or ring the doorbell. The male appeared to be checking something on his phone. After a few minutes, the individuals left. Security patrolled the area but did not find the two individuals.
On Monday, October 13, Security responded to a residence on Bloomsbury Place for a report of a suspicious incident. The resident stated that she heard what sounded like a man yelling at a woman outside her house. While the Officer was talking to the resident, he could hear faint yelling off in the distance. Upon leaving the residence, the Officer patrolled the area and located a group of teens in a vehicle nearby. Upon the Officer’s arrival, the group sped off, still shouting and making a disturbance. The Officer began searching the area again and located the group near Cranes Nest Court. The Officer spoke with the driver of the vehicle and advised him of the complaints about the disturbance. The driver, identified as a guest, apologized and agreed to stop the loud noise. There were no further complaints about the group. A follow-up call was placed to the guest’s resident sponsor regarding the incident.
Traffic Safety Update
The Guardian Pro Camera has been deployed at Landings Way South near Huntingwood Retreat. From October 8 to 14, there were 18 violations. The highest record speed was 53 MPH.
TLA Rules and Regulations Enforcement (sans Guardian Pro)
- One vendor was cited for an unapproved sign.
- One resident was cited for having a boat on property overnight.
- One resident was cited for having a dog off property without a leash.
