As the 2025 P.E.O. Chapter BB 12th Annual Plant Sale approaches, chapter members thank the residents of Skidaway Island and The Landings, Oelschig’s Nursery, and volunteers and patrons for their continued support.
The 2025 Chapter BB plant sale will run through October 2, with preorder pickup on Thursday, October 16. Plant pick up on October 16 will be by last name: A-L from 11 to 11:45 a.m., and M-Z from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church (3 West Ridge Road). P.E.O. Chapter BB, is a philanthropic organization that provides encouragement and support for women to realize their potential in whatever worthwhile endeavor they choose. Currently, there are nearly 250,000 members throughout the U.S. and Canada. We raise funds for scholarships and educational loans for women who are entering college or whose higher education has been interrupted or who are pursuing doctoral level degrees. Our plant sale is our major fundraiser each year. During the past 11 years, we have raised nearly $66,000, which is about 90% of the total funds we have donated over this same time frame to six different educational projects.
Your plant purchase is a win-win, with colorful plants for you to enjoy in your garden/patio and the chance for women to complete their education. With that education they support their families and benefit thousands of people through a lifetime of a chosen career.
