Road Striping Program
This week, KM Striping is working to restripe approximately 181 stop bars and 37 crosswalks in Midpoint, Marshview Landing, along Landings Way South, Lake Street, and Westridge Road (TLA-owned streets in The Village). The purpose of the stop bar/line pavement reflective striping program is to ensure the safety of community members and guests by distinguishing the point in which vehicular and pedestrian traffic must stop before entering an intersection. This program is completed annually and is funded through the department’s operational budget.
2025 Storm Drain Capital Project
Southeast Pipe is in the process of evaluating the causes of the storm drain pipe failures that occurred on Pennystone Retreat and Chatuachee Crossing. Once the failures have been identified, staff and the contractor will determine next steps for repair.
Lagoon Dredging Program
Coastal Marine & Equipment completed dredging Lagoons 109 (near Fiddler Crab Retreat) and 46 (near Log Landing Road) this week. Dredging removes sediment and silt, enhancing lagoon drainage and water quality. After this material is removed from the lagoons, it is disposed of in an upland disposal site.
