Social Clubs
The Landings Association provides listings of clubs and interest groups solely as a courtesy to its residents. the Association does not sponsor, endorse, support, supervise, or assume responsibility for these activities. Each club is independently run and solely responsible for its own activities and communications.

I am requesting the establishment of an advocacy board/committee on behalf of the Landings Residents who are concerned about the safety and enjoyment of cycling, walking, and running. The advocacy board/committee would serve as the key representatives who bring together the voices of the residents and the Landings management in order to work toward goals established by the board/committee.

Coastal Conservation Association, Skidaway Island, Georgia Chapter
CCA Skidaway is a Chapter of CCA National, which focuses on Environmental Education and Public Outreach, Conservation Advocacy, and Habitat Creation and Restoration. Our Skidaway Island Chapter of CCA works closely with The Landings Association’s Public Works Department to scientifically manage and continually improve the bass, crappie, and bluegill fisheries in the 70+ freshwater lagoons on Skidaway Island. We also provide education opportunities to the Skidaway Island community to improve the fishing experience in all lagoons, including the other 70+ lagoons composed of brackish or salt water and in the inshore/nearshore waters, via seminars, fishing clinics, and contests. We work with the Georgia DNR to sustain funding for improveing offshore reefs and provide advice regarding fishing and fish stock experience. Monthly Meetings, special events, and volunteer opportunities provide a variety of activities for outdoor education, fun, and unparalled fishing in well managed, on-island lagoons. We invite you to attend our meetings and see for yourselves!

The Jewish Women of the Landings (JWOL) is an organization of Jewish women, Jewishly connected women, or women who wish to participate in activities of a Jewish nature, who live or who have lived at the Landings or on Skidaway Island.

The Kappa Delta Savannah Alumnae Chapter is a social and philanthropic organization for KD alumnae members of Savannah, Georgia, including the Islands. We have members from every age group, and every walk of life that are bound together by our common sisterhood.

Ladies On The Right (LOTR) is a greater-Savannah community leadership organization based on Skidaway Island that comprises more than 200 members. Founded in February 2021 by Landings resident Marolyn Overton , its mission is to inform, educate, and inspire members to take action and leadership roles on issues that impact our community, county, state, and country. LOTR holds monthly luncheon meetings at the Palmetto Club, typically on the third Thursday of the month. All interested men and women are invited to attend. All attendees must RSVP and register for luncheon meetings at www.ladiesontheright.org.

Landings Angel Investors is a chapter of Ariel Savannah Angel Partners (ASAP), which invests in transformative early-stage ventures to help bring their technologies to market. We are one of the largest angel groups in the Southeast and have invested over $12 million in 35 companies since our founding in 2005.

The Landings Art Association is a not for profit, financially responsible, organization, that promotes aesthetic enrichment and education within our community by encouraging and coordinating interaction of artistic activities and endeavors among members. The LAA presents opportunities for members to show and sell their work and encourages the integration of its members into the greater Savannah community.

Duplicate bridge game sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League. Masterpoints awarded. Open to all level duplicate bridge players.

The Landings Garden Club has grown its membership to more than 125 strong. Our members actively promote our mission of Beautification, Conservation, and Education. Our meetings are held September through April with speakers presenting information and guidance on all things gardening. The topics have included horticulture, native plants, propagation skills, garden design, gardening tips, attracting hummingbirds, and promoting bird habitats. We raise money to donate to many local area organizations. It’s a “working” club where our members pick a committee to volunteer for a few hours a year. Monthly GM Retiree Breakfast Meetings

The dachshunds, semi dachshunds and grandfathered in dachshund siblings meet on the third Tuesday of every month at the Landings Harbor. The dogs and their human owners spend the time socializing.

LANDINGS WOODWORKERS GUILD
The Landings Woodworkers Guild is a community of men and women living in or near The Landings who have a common interest in woodworking. Members of the Guild meet regularly to share knowledge, skills, and resources.

Landlovers is a volunteer organization open to all Skidaway Island residents. Volunteers support fundraisers and organize a variety of activities such as Rambles in Coastal Georgia, Trolley to the Arts, Girl Time!, Men’s Lunch Group, Swiss Pairs Bridge to name a few. Since 1974 the Landlovers Foundation has distributed over $1.9 million to the community through grants, academic scholarships, and Merit Awards. Come join us as we Enrich the Community We Love.

The Men’s Gourmet Club is a group that holds revolving dinner in private residences. The men do all the cooking and the ladies are served as guests. Each member is reponsible for hosting one dinner party for 6 guests (plus the host and spouse) and is expected to bring a dish to 3 other dinners during the season. Our season runs from Fall to Spring. Each host is responsible for the main course and wine. The other three gentlemen do an appetizer, a soup/salad, and a dessert. Dinners are held in the home of the host. We hold an annual business meeting before the start of each season and often hold an opening event and a closing dinner at which all of the members are invited to be present together. MATS (Middle-aged Tweens) enriches the social lives of Landings residents who are somewhere in the demographic spectrum “in between” life’s first act of raising kids and second act of retirement years. This fun group enjoys quarterly parties, book groups, Ladies Night Out, and more!

Landings Garden Staters welcomes all Landings residents who have lived, worked, studied, gone to the Jersey shore or driven on the NJ Turnpike to join our delightful group of former Garden Staters. We have 3-4 events per year (ie – Karaoke night, golf scramble, bocce, NJ trivia night) for fun and camaraderie.

When you join New Neighbors, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in 35+ activities. As you participate, you’ll get to know other members well and begin forging the friendships that will last a lifetime.

The Nor’easters’ Club is open to Landings residents who have lived, worked, studied, vacationed in or otherwise enjoyed any of five states of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Dues are $5.00 per person per year and must be paid in order to attend any Nor’easters’ event. The Club typically sponsors three events per year: a themed winter dinner, a golf tournament in the spring and a lobsterfest in the fall. This group is open to all women in the greater Savannah area who belonged to a sorority in college. We are a social organization but committed to supporting women in need. Our philanthropy partner is Parker’s House, which serves unaccompanied women.

Our alumnae club is open to all members of Pi Beta Phi. We have members who are graduates from colleges and universities all over the country.
The philanthropic focus of our national sorority is literacy. Our club has done projects locally which pertain to literacy. We have a variety of programs and locations for our meetings, and we gather at the end of April for our Founders’ Day.

Interested in learning more about international issues impacting the US and its citizens? The Savannah Council on World Affairs can help! The Council strives to inform its members and the public about world affairs by bringing to Savannah prominent experts, including former high-ranking government officials, think tank analysts, academics and non-governmental organizations to interact with our local audience. We are an all volunteer organization offering nine presentations per year open to members, guests and students. We provide scholarships for Savannah State and Georgia Southern students to study abroad and outreach programs for local high school students. We hold a fun International Trivia night annually and facilitate the Great Decisions program, a stimulating small discussion group about world affairs. Membership includes a free subscription to Global Post, a daily newsletter devoted to world news.

The Skidaway Abigails is a group of progressive, liberal women engaging in social, educational, and advocacy activities as a non-partisan organization. We foster a welcoming environment for friendship, provide an array of learning opportunities, and advance social justice impacting the broader community.

A space to enjoy gardening while getting to know fellow Skidaway Islanders who share similar interests in growing plants and vegetables.

The Skidaway Hamiltons is a nonpartisan men’s group focused on important issues affecting Coastal Georgia, from public safety, housing, homelessness, poverty, and environment to health, education, media, mental health, criminal justice reform, employment, aging, and climate change. We welcome individuals who want to learn more about their local community and further expand their network of talented and engaged friends. The Skidaway Island Boat Club (SIBC) was founded in 2015 to bring people together who love to boat, sail, kayak, fish or spend time on or near the water. SIBC is a social club that plans regular events for our members to explore and enjoy the beautiful islands and waterways that make up this unique area of Georgia known as the Low Country.
If you have not experienced the Low Country from the water, then you have not really experienced how beautiful, breathtaking and untamed this area truly is. In addition to scheduled events, SIBC members meet regularly at the Landings Harbor Marina Dockside Bar for Friday Happy Hours to renew old friendships, meet new boaters and enjoy the sights and sounds of sailboats and motorboats on the Wilmington River from the perfect viewing location.
Owning a boat is not a requirement to join SIBC and we would love for you to join us. Why not give us a try?

Skidaway Island Corvette Club was founded in December 2020.
Club goals are camaraderie of its membership and a convoy to a restaurant for lunch on the third Thursday of each month. Dues are neither required nor anticipated; however, an $8 name tag fee is optional.

The Skidaway Island Democratic Club Vision is that: the economy should work for everyone, health care is a right, diversity is strength, and democracy is worth defending.
We meet on the third Thursday of each month at 7p.m. in TLA’s Office (600 Landings Way) . We have speakers reflecting on topics that members have indicated are of interest and/or are of specific current interest.
The Democratic Club of Skidaway Island is an affiliate member of the Chatham County Democratic Committee and works to elect State Committee Members, promote Party development, recruit qualified candidates for public office, support Democratic nominees, qualify Democratic candidates for county office, and perform such primary and election functions as are required by law at the County level.

This group was founded in 2010 for the purpose of promoting social Scrabble games on the island. We meet every Thursday at 1:30 to play three 50-minute games at members homes. Scrabble rules are relaxed for better enjoyment of the game.

Texas Club is a social club and welcomes anyone who lived, worked or went to school in Texas.

Founded in 2008, The Landings Magic Club is an informal group of amateur magicians who gather once a month to learn and perform magic for the purpose of volunteering at Memorial Children’s Hospital.
We welcome those who are interested in magic to actively participate in our club.

Annual USMC Birthday Ball

Founded in 2000, Music Makers is a community of amateur musicians—primarily pianists—based in The Landings, united by a shared passion for music. With diverse backgrounds and skill levels, our members meet monthly to perform for one another in a supportive and informal setting.
We meet on the third Thursday of each month from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in members’ homes. All musicians are welcome to join us—regardless of experience or instrument—to share in the joy of making music by playing solos, duets or other arrangements.

A club where musicians and vocalists that are interested in meeting- like minded individuals can get together informally. No age or type of musical genre required. We are in this for fun and enjoyment!

If you are a resident of the Landings and love to sail, The Landings Sailing Club is for you!
We have a fleet of Rhodes 19s (seven of them) plus three J/24s for use by members. This fleet is owned by The Landings Association and available through an annual membership, billed monthly, of only $65 for your entire family. The dues support the maintenance of the boats. We have races almost every weekend, recreational sails during the week, and participate in area regattas. We also have moonlight sails when there is a full moon, plus beer can regattas every other week in the summer.

The mission and purpose of The One Hundred Children’s Foundation is to promote the health, education and well-being of children through financial support of child-focused outreach programs in the Coastal Empire of Georgia and the Low Country of South Carolina. Through fund raising and volunteer efforts, The OHCF supports a variety of non-profit organizations that serve children’s health and educational initiatives. Membership is $100 per year and all are invited to join. All proceeds raised through fundraising events go directly to the organizations chosen through the grant review process. Volunteer opportunities include working on fund raising events, volunteering on committees, creating hats, pillows, knitted toys, etc. for children in hospitals, delivering books to hospitals and other organizations serving children, assembling infant necessities for new parents served at clinics, reading to children and other opportunities as they arise.

The Village Library is a private nonprofit community library located in The Village Square on Skidaway Island, funded by membership fees, donations, rentals, and sales, and run by volunteers. Membership is open to everyone ($10 annual family membership fee). Members may choose from 24,000 books to borrow for three weeks at no cost and also may rent the latest books and best sellers for 30 cents per day, rent DVDs and audiobooks for 40 cents per day, and purchase used books for sale. The Library is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We organize a recreation youth soccer league and soccer camps that take place in The Landings community. Our recreation leagues service children between the ages of 3 and 12, and we play during the fall and spring seasons.
