Smart Technology is Generating Smart Water Conservation Results!

Currently, 42.6% of water connections in The Landings use Eye-on-Water, far surpassing other HOA communities. The Eye-on-Water app lets residents track water usage hourly and it detects leaks or broken irrigation lines any time — an especially useful tool when you are away on vacation. The Landings’ long term goal is +60% enrollment. Sign up today. It’s free, saves money, and supports water conservation.

Did you know that the 12 Month Rolling Average Water Usage in THE LANDINGS has declined from 1.41 MGD (2023) to 1.39 MGD (2024) to 1.34 MGD (2025 YTD). MGD is an acronym for millions of gallons per day.

To propel conservation further, residents interested in advanced irrigation solutions should consider installing a Rachio Smart Controller. These devices are available for purchase at The Landings Association’s Administration Office (600 Landings Way), Landings Harbor Marina (600 Priest Landing Drive), and at local retailers such as Costco.

Smart controllers use past and forecasted rainfall along with seasonal data to decide each zone’s water needs. For best results, connect the smart controller to a nearby hyperlocal weather station. Visit landingsweather.com for detailed locations.

The return on investment (ROI) for this smart technology and time saving solution can be less than six months, as many residents cut their irrigation cycles frequency by as much as 50%.

As temperatures begin to rise, so do water bills. So switch to SMART irrigation controllers and make sure you’re following the state of Georgia and The Landings Association’s watering rules.  Click here to view an easy, fun video produced by the Strategic Water Committee featuring the Skidaway Belles, to learn how you can do your part.
