Since we all have a little extra time on our hands right now, the weather is beautiful, and we’re limiting our outings, it’s the perfect time to ditch the plastic grass for Easter baskets and grow your own (remember this for next year’s Purim or other gift basket).
Soak wheatgrass seeds (you can get them delivered from your favorite retailer) overnight and then plant in a pie plate or similar dish that fits into the desired basket. Make sure the dish gets sunlight and water according to the seed packet, and within about a week (five-to-seven days), you should have lush grass to fill your baskets sustainably.
